Scope: This policy applies to the Custom GPT “Ultimate Med Student GPT” you access via a share link in ChatGPT.
What this GPT does
- Your uploads (e.g., First Aid, lecture slides) in Retrieval
- Open web sources (browsing)
- Scholarly APIs via Actions (PubMed/NCBI, Crossref, OpenAlex, Semantic Scholar, DOAJ, Unpaywall)
- Link-outs you open yourself (e.g., AMBOSS, RossMed Library). No credentials are collected by this GPT.
Educational use only. Do not upload protected health information (PHI). Not medical advice.
Data we (the owner) receive
- Within ChatGPT: Your messages, and files you choose to upload to this GPT’s Retrieval. We do not collect data outside of ChatGPT.
- Actions requests: When the GPT calls an Action (e.g., PubMed), it sends only the query parameters needed. Your email is sent only where required by a public API (e.g., Unpaywall) as a default contact field.
Data OpenAI processes
OpenAI processes your prompts, files, model outputs, and tool calls to operate ChatGPT. See OpenAI’s Privacy Policy for details: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
Data shared with third parties
- Scholarly APIs: Query terms and necessary parameters are sent to the chosen API endpoint solely to retrieve citations/metadata.
- Browsing: When browsing is enabled, the model fetches web pages; standard web server logs may apply.
- Paid resources: AMBOSS & RossMed Library are link-outs you open in your browser. This GPT does not receive your login credentials and does not scrape licensed content.
What is not collected
- No background scraping of your MEGA/Drive links. Content is only used if you upload a file to Retrieval or paste text into the chat.
